central - east central Minnesota -

Picked upwards a 40 that is infested with cockle bur effectually fences, lanes, pasture, old barn yard and tree edges. Billions of them - this is going to exist a ATV sprayer deal. What'south the best herbicide/combination to apply to impale them? Please Keep Cost in mind, with your stance.

What are those? LOL, that is 1 weed since roundup cotton wool came around that we do not see anymore. It is only near extinct here. So I would say striking frequently with roundup and you should be fine. Grass and cockleburs are about the only weed left roundup will go. Illini Fan

I got a twoscore iv years ago, wow are at that place burrs in that soil. Been spraying 2x a yr and they still come upwardly like pilus on a dog. Dad kept his fields clear of the things, so a whole new world to encounter all that.

Don't think Roundup is for you in your needs, it will make bare earth & then you _really_ accept a bumper ingather of them in two months.

24D, Banvel, and other such broadleaf killers work well and save your grass, then it shades out new sprouts.

Whatever herbicides mentioned then far will only command what plants currently are emerged. Roundup and ii, four-D take no soil residue to kill germinating seedlings. If this field volition non be used for clover or alfalfa in the next year or so, endeavour Grazon P+D. This product contains Picloram and
2, 4-D. The Picloram has some residue effect in the soil to assistance prevent successful emergence of broadleaf weed seedlings. tomosakis

The bur's aren't previlent in the growing corn . . . . I need to get them under control on the rest of the farmstead (contend lines, pasture, barn yard, around barns ect). TNAgronomist

Roundup will do the chore just fine. The trouble with Cockle Burr is that the seed pod has 2 seeds in information technology, one will germinate in days, the other can sit down effectually for 20 years without germinating and and so decide to germinate. WJKEIGER

The bur's aren't previlent in the growing corn . . . . I demand to get them under control on the residuum of the farmstead (fence lines, pasture, befouled yard, around barns ect).

I'd spray Hornet, only if it's permanent grass areas the Tordon mentioned earlier volition accept a longer residual.
