Introduction
I developed problems with the FOB not functioning correct, needing to be close to the vehicle and in certain areas for it to work. Changing the battery was straight forward and restored its function immediately.
Parts

Hither is the FOB for my Jeep. Information technology decided to finally quit. The functionality became less over the last couple of weeks and required frequent attempts to unlock the vehicle etc.

Remove the key by moving

locking hatch to the left side showtime.

The two halves where the Play a trick on needs to be split are clearly visible

Using a plastic opening tool (or finger nail, guitar option etc.) start at the forepart of the Fox to separate it

Moving the tool forth the separate line with slight sideways pressure
-
will separate the FOB hands.

Here is the cleanly opened FOB

Bottom one-half of the FOB contains the CR2032 coin battery

Remove the battery past pulling it out of the holder pushing it gently against the spring contacts.

Replace the battery following the polarity with the positive side to the trunk of the FOB
